Matthew T. Young, M.D. is a board-certified, fellowship-trained ophthalmologist at Commonwealth Eye Care Associates, serving patients in Richmond, VA. Dr. Young specializes in ophthalmic consultation and co-management with cataract and glaucoma surgery.
Dr. Young earned his bachelor’s degree at the University of Virginia and went on to earn his medical degree from Virginia Commonwealth University, where he also completed his residency in ophthalmology.
Dr. Young completed his glaucoma fellowship at the Emory Eye Center in Atlanta.
Dr. Young joined Commonwealth Eye Care Associates in 2018. He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Glaucoma Society, and the Virginia Society of Eye Physicians and Surgeons.
