Patient Screening

  • On-Site Screening: Patients should expect screening on presentation to the office, including measurement of their body temperature

  • Companions: Patients will be allowed to have 1 companion accompany them to their visit.

Facility Limitations

If any of the following apply, your appointment will be deferred and rescheduled for a later date:

  • Symptoms: Patients with elevated body temperature over CDC-recommended threshold, or history suspicious for exposure to novel coronavirus
  • Exposure:  If you or a household member have been recently exposed to COVID19

Sight-threatening emergencies will be determined on an individual basis for care and ongoing treatment, if you feel that you are having a sight-threatening emergency, please go directly to the emergency room.

Facility Preparedness

We have continued to keep up with our high standards of care and to genuinely care for you and your well-being. We understand your concerns about the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID19).

Fortunately, COVID-19 is susceptible to alcohol and bleach-based disinfectants that are commonly used to disinfect ophthalmic instruments and office furniture.

Knowing this, below are additional measures we are taking to ensure we reduce the spread of any cold, flu, or virus:

  • Staff Screening: All staff are screened for symptoms and confirmation of body temperature upon initial arrival to our office(s)
  • Sanitize: Sanitize surfaces in our exam rooms between each patient interaction, sanitizing hands after each patient and sanitize all common touch areas throughout our office regularly
  • Education: Proper handwashing technique and avoid not touch their face and avoid touching eyes, mouth, and nose
  • Interactions: Avoid handshaking, close interactions or detailed discussions, when unavoidable, wear a mask
