Dr. Bryan Goldman specializes in corneal and cataract surgery.Dr. Goldman earned both his undergraduate and master’s degrees in Neuroscience from Tulane University in New Orleans, where he also served on the honor board.
He continued his education at Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine in Detroit, where he was elected class senator and inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society by his peers. Following medical school, Dr. Goldman completed his internship and ophthalmology residency at VCU Health, where he was honored to serve as Chief Resident, focusing on patients with complex medical conditions. He is passionate about teaching and collaborates closely with the VCU Ophthalmology residency program. We are honored to have Dr. Goldman pursue his cornea fellowship at CECA, further enhancing his surgical and clinical cornea skills right here in Richmond, VA.
Dr. Goldman was recently awarded the 2024 Resident of the Year Award at VCU. This award recognizes and celebrates individuals who make a significant contribution to the well-being of fellow residents, the facility, and/or the community they serve.
Outside of his clinical work, Dr. Goldman enjoys discovering Richmond’s hidden gems, running along the river, and exploring the city's parks and neighborhoods with his wife, an ER physician at Bon Secours. They share their home with a charming Siberian cat, Poncho. Whether attending a Flying Squirrels game or participating in "America’s Friendliest Marathon," he loves being active in the community.
